Everything is so quick and fast, like thunder, nowadays. My generation, including myself, tends to enjoy films and entertainment, but just now from an artistic point of view. When I had to watch some contraband and white picture shows, I couldnt bear with it until it ended. Most of them were passing long, with slow motions of characters and dull plots. However, I was expecting something especial from the movie The straits of Music when I was about to watch it my English family for the first time. Since I used to hear about that movie all the time, and most of people around me watched it and knew all the songs in the movie, I was curious. The movie was okay but non good. despite all my curiosity, only things that I discovered were the beauty of Austria and nasty memory of Nazis, but sadly, nonhing else.

I admit and empathise that myriad people loved The Sound of Music. I specify it deserved to win an award, but only during that period. I could not concentrate fairly well on the about-three-hours of boring movie. I think the movie only had beautiful pictures but not that much of great content. Also, the so-called worldwide famous songs mingled with the scenes and the characters conversations were extremely painful to bear. I guess it is surely a good family movie, but I would not use the cry great for this movie.



Hence I am totally with Anthony streets opinions which he wrote in his essay that t it was blithe, efficient, and constructed with care, in time though I thought his essay was a junior-grade aggressive. In my opinion, frankly, the movie Mamma Mia was much better and incredibly worthwhile to watch than The Sound of Music. At least, Mamma Mia did not linger on some obtuse scenes and the songs between the characters conversations were not too long, not too short, but splendid.
