Reflections on Leader-Follower-Situation

Abstract
Throughout my adult sustenance I have worked for leaders and managers of all kinds. Any locating I have held, I have succeeded in my endeavors more than times than I have failed. In some cases, this was a direct result of my effort and in some cases it was a result of considerably leadership. Each leader/manager taught me something important about being a leader, even if they were not good leaders themselves. It is these experiences that allow stop me from making the same mistakes and support me to avoid others. Leaders cannot exist unaccompanied by themselves, following enable a leader to exist, and the situation allows them to succeed. By victorious these ideals and by relating them to my life, I have laid a bag of understanding to the topic of leadership.

Introduction
Georg Brandes once said:
The crowd will follow a leader who marches twenty locomote in advance; yet if he is a gee steps in front of them, they do not see and do not follow him.
With this quote, I feel that Georg Brandes encompassed the induction of the leader-follower-situation relationship.



I have worked for many types of leaders/managers, and to evaluate their effectiveness, solely by their leadership, would not be an accurate assessment without flavor at the followers and the situation. Only by looking at each element and applying it to the whole picture, does the evaluation become legitimate.
Background
I have worked for four different companies that specialize in completely different areas of business. Initially, each position offered some type of challenge, but eventually I lost interest and moved on. I first started working for a construction company that centre on large projects, coal mining plants and chemical plants, just to name a few.
