One Place at Two Different Times many age ago, before I went to sweetergarten, I thought Lana`i was a very big place. As I was suppuration up I learned that Lana`i was not as big as I thought it was. It was a demesne living kind of town where everyone k brand-new almost everyone, very simple, unmoved(p) and un puzzleed island. Then as the years went on the worldly concerns largest pineapple plantation ceased and touristry became the primary industry. With tourism as the primary industry, more and more people came to the island. Things started to develop and change the Lana`i I grew up in. As lots as I like the 20th century lawsuit of living, I wish Lana`i stayed the way it was. From the very simple, untouched, solid ground living town where everyone knew everyone to a place where development is hazard left and right and few people know who their neighbors are, Lana`i has changed. Lana`i has gone from a country living kind of town to a more developed and modern typecast of lifestyle. When Lana`i was the worlds largest pineapple plantation, the people love it. They did not care how much they were getting paid, just as long as they could pay their bills and get all the rudimentary necessities. My great-grandma used to tell me stories of the plantation days.

She used to say that when they were fresh they could buy a bar of glass over for only 25 cents or even a pack of gum for that price. nowadays we pay $3 or more for a candy bar and/or a pack of gum. As the years go by, things get more expensive than what they used to be. overly the people were more relaxed. That is what I meant when I said a country living kind of town. Lana`i went from a place where everyone can just be themselves and relaxed to being restive and always on the go. No one really has snip to just be himself or herself and relax. There is just as well much things happening, it is changing the lifestyle of the people here. There is also too much of a western influence.
